The Swedish Chamber of Commerce is a not for profit making organisation aimed at providing the best professional and social platform and to facilitate business opportunities within its network. Today the Chamber has about 400 Member companies, representing, not only Swedish companies but also British and European companies interested in strengthening their existing ties with Sweden/UK or expanding to a new market.

End of term is approaching, and so is Christmas! As you know, this Sunday is the first of advent, which we hope to celebrate with you!

We have special supplies from Scandinavia for this special occasion, and so we ask you to come join us for glogg (mulled wine but better) and pepparkakor (gingersnaps), and other yummy things while listening to Christmas carols and be generally christmasy! (no worries I wont force anyone to sing this time!)

-Sunday the 29th of November 2-4pm

-Newnham College (meet at porter's lodge)

How much?

-£3 for members and £5 for others

We really hope to see as many of you there as possible, for the last event of the year!

Wolfson College at 9pm. Tuesday 3rd November 2009. Meet at Porter's Lodge

Prices are £4 for members and £6 for non-members. If you can still see straight after that, the bar is open for refills... Bring CASH or CHECKS for Cambridge University Scandinavian Society at the night!!

Places are limited, unfortunately to 30. Members have priority. To book your place, SEND THE FULL NAMES AND E-MAILS OF YOU AND ANY INVITES TO THE SECRETARY, SUNDAY NIGHT THE LATEST!! 

Meeting in the St John's bar at 18.45 to go together to the dining hall.

*Non-Members:* with wine: 10.50, no wine: 7.60

This is an exclusive chance to attend one of the best formals in town! Therefore, we need to know numbers well in advance in order to get our hands on the very popular tickets!

Come and join Scansoc at the Portland Arms for some Scandinavian rivalry. We meet in the bar when the game starts 19.00.

12-10-2009 Fresher’s Squash, FREE!

We start the term with snacks and a friendly game of rounders/brännboll/brændbold at Jesus Green 17.00. Come and represent your country!

22-10-2009 Formal dinner at St John’s

See the Swedish horror film  “Låt den rätta komma in” (Let the Right One in) in the Fisher Building, St John’s College, 21.00.
