About

Welcome to the Cambridge University Scandinavian Society (ScanSoc). We are a student society with around 50 active members and our mailing list reaches 400 passive members. ScanSoc consists of people with Scandinavian background as well as people with a keen interest in the Scandinavian countries and their culture. ScanSoc organises many events in Cambridge such as dinners, seminars, sport events and pub gatherings. Join ScanSoc and become part of a great tradition and a relaxed student society.

Best regards, 'The Scansoc Committee

About the committee

The committee is the governing body of our society. It is responsible for the daily running of the society and usually convene on a monthly basis. The members are elected for a half academic year with elections held in early May and late November. However all members are encouraged to participate in the running of the society and are therefore invited to attend committee meetings. Members who wish to participate in the committee's work should contact the committee by email for further details and an invitation to the next committee meeting.
