(just a slight warning: "schnapps" is put in quotation marks because there is a slight risk taht there wont be so much of 'real' schnapps as we wanted there to be, so the substitution might be home-spiced Vodka. Apologies in advance, but of course this wont stop you from coming!)

So, for you who don't know: Snaps drinking is more than just drinking. It involves old Scnadinavian traditions. What we do (and which occasionally makes us being thrown out of Trinity's facilities) is to sing drinking songs before toasting. There is a vast collection of traditional songs, "snappsvisor", and they tend to vary decency and style, although there are some universal ones. One famous example: "Helan gar"

To facitilate the participation in actually singing these sings next week, please find some attached lyrics! We will provide some spare ones as well, but please try to print and bring! =)

The competition: To write a special Cambridge ScanSoc 'snappsvisa'! 
It should be done to a known tune and preferably in english, but feel free to mix! You are then to perform your song during the night (perhaps after a few)

The winning song will be adopted as the official Cambridge ScanSoc Snappsvisa of the year! There is, in addition to that honour, another secret prize!

Please Confirm by Sunday night if you want to attend this event, as we need to get supplies!
